My Mentors
Evan OBranovic Technology Integration Specialist at ASD (Aspen School District)
Stephen Heron Building Technology Specialist at AHS
For as long as I can remember, I have always loved using computers of any type laptops ,phones, tablets, and desktops computers, and when I found out about the mentorship project, I instantly knew that I wanted to do my mentorship project on computers. Since, I had a main topic of what I wanted to do; I started to try to find a mentor. At the time a parent was working with my robotics team, and he works as a computer programmer so I asked if he knew anyone who would be my mentor. He responded, " What do you want to learned about computers ?" That got me thinking "What do I want to learn about computers?" Then it hit me like a baseball bat to the face I wanted to learn about how they work and their uses.
About two weeks later I found my mentor, Evan OBranovic Technology Integration Specialist at ASD (Aspen School District). When we first started working together, we decided to meet during my lunch break on Tuesdays. When I got up to the high school we would discuss what we would do that day, and get to it. In the beginning we decided to have two main goals that we would accomplish. Those goals were making a website and building a computer. With those basic goals in mind we got to work. About half way through the year we started working with Evan's co-worker, Stephen Heron Building Technology Specialist. That is how the project started.
